Neks2u Label Love: Geeks and Stitches

One may find it difficult to find a correlation between science and fashion, as they are two completely different industries. But what happens when both worlds collide, to present an amazing fusion that embodies the beauty and creativity that comes out of scientific thinking.

European based Nigerian Designers, Natasha Oyibo and Julie Okiro, creators behind the label, Geek and Stitches, merge the sensuality of fashion and the innovative nature of science. Geeks & Stitches was first conceptualised in 2006 after these two fashion crazy geeks decided to infuse their knowledge of science into fashion. This brand has been designed to electrify your wardrobe with its individuality.

"As we grow we intend to draw our inspiration from the endless pool of science. We hope to capture the imaginations of fashion forward shoppers with our in-house designed and hand made collections."

Here's a peak at their latest collection.

Girls - While the designs will perfectly compliment an LBD (little black dress), don’t be afraid to pair them with other spring colors, prints and patterns. For the risk takers, try mixing and matching complimentary shades to create countless fun and flirty fashion possibilities this season.

Student and stylist, Onyinye accentuates her casual and effortless look with the beautiful pink box clutch from O'Eclat.

Kosibah Dazzles at FLARE, The Oaken Event

You are cordially invited to bask in the glow that is bridal bliss, courtesy of world renowned event planner Preston Bailey and bridal, evening-wear designer Yemi Osunkoya of Kosibah and Oaken Events.

"The bride spends most of her time with her back to the guests. Hence, I put as much effort in making the back of a wedding gown look as beautiful as the front." - Yemi Osunkoya

True words from a true bridal designer! The designer sticks to his African roots, by using traditional fabric, such as Aso-oke, Adire and Ankara. Yemi also incorporates other fabrics into his designs, such as organza, textured tulle, raw silk and embellishes with Swarovski crystals for a touch of luxury. His designs celebrates the real woman, with curves and shape. With excellent and elegant draping and corseting, the lovely designer pays tribute to the hour glass silhouette, providing support and sculpture to the female figure.

Let the dreaming begin...
