Guests at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Day 4

Finally, Day 4 came! The finale to the season that was Arise Magazine Fashion Week. There were mixed feelings of relief for all those who had worked tirelessly in making the event a success and nostalgia for departing from the location most people had grown accustomed to for four days! It truly was a unique experience for everyone involved, from the designers, to stylists, makeup artists, photographers to the guests. Roll on September, we certainly cannot wait to see the African designers that have been selected to showcase at the New York Fashion Week!

A big shoutout to these guys! They were such troupers, running from one tent to another, ensuring they captured all aspects of the show.

Neks2u Style Steal - Arise Magazine Fashion Week Special: Yvonne Ekwere

Silverbird Television, entertaintment head honcho, Yvonne Ekwere, was spotted at the Arise Magazine Fashion week looking as fabulous as ever. Yvonne, also known as Vixen, is fashionably versatile, as she is able to pull off different looks and still remain  fierce!

Outfit 1 - Biker Chic


Yvonne channels her inner rock stardom by wearing a pair of biker boots over leather patch leggings. This look is edgy yet softened by the the floral jacket and her curly tresses.

Outfit 2 - Olive Beauty


Yvonne wears an olive draped dress made by Nigerian Designer, Zebra, accentuated by a flower chunky necklace.

Outfit 3 - Colour Blocker


Yvonne pulls one of this seasons biggest trend, colour blocking, in this orange bustier and cobalt blue pencil skirt, both by KemKemstudio. Styled by Helen Adegbite, Head Sytlist for the PR firm - Sisters, Vixen accessorises with a pair of studded Carvela platforms, an embellished rafia bag and a funky neckpiece from Dubai.
