On this edition of Model Focus, Neks2u focuses on Nigerian model, Makida Moka. Born in Cairo, Egypt of mixed parentage (Jamaican dad and an Ibo mum) Makida considers herself fully Nigerian, as she has lived in the country most of her life. The 19 year old beauty began modelling in February 2010, the Maki Oh Exhibition launching her career.
Miss Moka has modelled for notable fashion designers including Ituen Basi, Onyx and Pearls and has been photographed by the popular Toni Tones. Her portfolio includes the Fashion Diversity fashion show, part of the London Fashion week in September 2010; Genevieve Magazine (July 2010, Feb. 2011); TW Magazine (2010); FAB magazine(The Emancipation issue) and has even graced the covers of This Day Style (December 2009). Emerging top 9 at The Top Model of Colour UK competition in November 2010, Makida's most recent work has been modelling for Nigerian Designers, Grey and Bridget Awosika.

Despite being the brand ambassador for Face of Sleek Nigeria; Award winning designer, Bridget Awosika and Y! Naija, Makida is determined to excel in both fashion and television. This young model plans to be a TV Presenter and is currently enrolled on a Radio and Television Presenting course at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School.
Her hobbies include Music and dancing. Makida admits her love for social networking site, Twitter.
