What to Wear to Arise Magazine Fashion Week

The fashion buzz is in the air as Arise Fashion Week comes to Lagos, Nigeria for the first time (and hopefully many more times to come). Amidst the excitement in contemplating what each lovely designer will present, we all know one of the most important elements of fashion week is what the fashionistas in the house will wear! Therefore, in order to get us prepared, here's a simple guide on what to wear for fashion week.

Eve and Keri Hilson @ The Blond Show, New York Fashion Week

Turbans are not only worn by sheiks and genies anymore. Take inspiration from celebrity stylist, June Ambrose and wear one. Admittedly, Lagos is too hot to wear a fur muffler, so pair a colourful blouse with a single coloured bottom. Be adventurous with your head gear and don't be afraid to mix and match different colours and fabrics.

Apricots, corals, oranges, beautiful bright colours will suit any skin tone. Make a colour statement with this season's biggest trend and go bright now! For those conservative fashionistas, match with minimal accessories for a toned down palette.

Jumpsuits are not only comfortable to wear, they are also fun and flirty. Whether capris or full length bottoms, you can sure be sure to look trendy, yet effortless, especially when worn with lovely wedgies.

It's the last day of fashion week, with the AMFW Awards Show as the climax of the entire event. End your fabulous fashion experience in a daring maxi à la Eku Edewor in Bridget Awosika. Pile on the bling and make a statement, choosing key pieces to compliment your ensemble.

This season's runway has left us lusting after numerous things, and while we are eager to do an overhaul of our wardrobes, let us feast our eyes on these little lovelies...
